Currently, my favorite would be the Crocodile Dilemma.

A crocodile steals a child and offers the father a challenge. If the father can predict what the crocodile will do next, the child will be returned. The father predicts the crocodile will not return the child.

What does the crocodile do?

Nice one. What does the crocodile do? Probably going to eat the kid :)

ReplyDeleteI'd hate to be the father in this situation

ReplyDeleteHe is not going to return the kid, for "not returning the kid"was not what he was going to do next, not how he planned to do it. He planned to return the kid, so the correct answer for the father to say should have been:

ReplyDeleteYou are going to return the kid.

Awesome post man hopefully you post more about this will be looking forward!

ReplyDeleteif i asked you to give me five dollars, would the answer of that question be the same as the answer to this question?

ReplyDeleteMy favorite one is.

ReplyDelete"Answer this YES or NO answer truthfully.

Will the next word you say be no?

Very interesting and i'm sure i will think about this on and off all night. If i come up with a good paradox i'll re-comment. For now i just dont have a good one.

ReplyDeletewow...gonna have me scratchin my brain all night, and probably all day tomorrow too, haha...keep up the good work

ReplyDeleteObviously the crocodile an heroes.

ReplyDeleteLet x = 1

ReplyDeleteThen, x2=x

x2-1 = x-1

Dividing both sides by (x-1), we get

x+1 = 1

x+1-1 = 0

Since x=1,

1=0

Wait, when were talking crocodiles discovered?

ReplyDeleteUh... how do you simplify 2i<6u?

ReplyDeletei<3u!

Take that!

Dang looks like the crocodile has itself a conundrum

ReplyDelete@wompa at the begining X also can also = 0, when you divide by (x-1) you lose the second solution. just gotta remember some tricky algebra

ReplyDeleteHowdy! Just wanted to say that I like your blog's empty designs. Kind of unique. You need to fiddle with the text placement thou

ReplyDeleteYea. Working on it... thank you!

ReplyDeletelol, nice post :) looking forward to your next one

ReplyDeleteInteresting. I honestly cant answer the question.

ReplyDelete@Wompa:

ReplyDeleteYou have to remember how to divide by variables You're taking (2x-1) and dividing it by (x-1), by factoring out the 2, you're left with 2(x-0.5)/(x-1), which cannot be easily divided.
